Conor McGregor Says He Would 'Absolutely Have a Boxing Fight'

“I love the sport of boxing, I love stand up fighting. I am a mover. I would certainly step inside the ring,” he said. It’s tough to peg how well McGregor would be able to perform in a ring, though.

To his credit, McGregor knows how to utilize his long reach, something that escapes a disappointing number of MMA fighters. He also has a huge amount of power in his hands, and can stay in perfect position to deliver it, with his intuitive use of range and his strong cage-cutting.

Unfortunately, he’s been getting cockier and cockier by the fight, and has been getting hit more and more as a result. Chad Mendes beat him bloody before gassing out of their UFC 189 fight, and that could have gone much worse.

It’ll be fun to see how McGregor approaches Aldo.
