Conor McGregor & Nate Diaz Agree They Want Trilogy Fight

According to the rivals themselves, fight fans could be in for an exciting trilogy completed at middleweight… Connor McGregor and Nate Diaz just had a brief but provocative exchange on Twitter leading to the negotiation of their upcoming rematch: this will be the third time these to UFC rivals matchup.  The McGregor-Diaz bouts at UFC 196 then again at UFC 202 produced opposite results. The Stockton Phenom initially tapped the then-featherweight champion out via second round rear-naked choke at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

After a matter of three months, ‘The Notorious’ came back with an exciting unanimous decision win over Diaz on their five-round rematch at the T-Mobile Arena.  Knowing that he’ll be available to enter the Octagon next month, the former two-division champion called out Diaz for their third match to happen at UFC 237 on May 11 in Curitiba, Brazil.

“Book it. I’ll fight Nate on it,” McGregor wrote in reply to a UFC tweet mentioning a potential match between Anderson Silva and Nick Diaz at UFC 237.

It’s fascinating to me watching that loss back. Then watching the come back.

On the third anniversary of his loss to the 33-year-old, the Dubliner has also reflected on absorbing the defeat and bouncing back with a historic win. Taking it to Twitter, McGregor said: 

“It’s fascinating to me watching that loss back. Then watching the comeback.
