Like tonight’s main event, it was America vs Brazil in this match-up of fight veterans. Tibau won via rear naked choke just 1:45 into the first round.
Clay Guida vs Thiago Tavares
Tough night for Guida, who was tapped out after just over 30 seconds into the very first round.
Thomas Almeida vs Anthony Birchak
Almeida has knocked out 14 of his last 15 opponents. Who’s next? Spinning back elbow to vicious punches turned _ into a puddle of goo, and bump Thomas’ record to a perfect 21-0.
Glover Teixeira vs Pat Cummins
Glover put in work on Pat’s face, unloading brutal combos until Herb Dean stepped in and ended the fight early into the second round. The first round ended with Cummings on the ground, saved by the bell as he wobbled back to his corner.
Main Event: Dan Henderson vs Vitor Belfort
It’s been two years since these two last fought, with both fighters taking one of their previous bouts.
This time around, Vitor Belfort wins the trilogy with a brutal knockout of Hendo. Both fighters started patiently, but Vitor couldn’t wait any longer. He landed a devastating head kick, then followed it up with strikes until the ref showed mercy and ended it.
