Kevin Lee: McGregor coaches are not going to be very happy with this Fight

Kevin Lee entered the cage of UFC 216 to face Tony Ferguson for the Interim Lightweight Championship of the UFC. As expected, both Tony and Kevin got a great fight and both had their moments, but it was Ferguson who managed to crown himself as a new champion thanks to a triangle that forced Lee to surrender in the third round.




Lee recently was in the Chael Sonnen podcast , ‘You’re Welcome’, and there he said that Ferguson deserves the bout for the unification of the titles before the Regular Lightweight Champion, Conor McGregor. But Kevin also thinks that Conor may eventually prefer to star in a third fight with Nate Diaz (via BJPenn.com ):

Kevin Lee: “(Tony Ferguson vs. Conor McGregor) must happen, it has to happen. In any other sport, and in any other circumstance or situation, that is the fight that has to happen. But really speaking as a fan, as a fan of the sport, man I do not know, I do not know if Conor wants those problems. Tony is a son of a bitch.” Continue on Next Page
