Cocky Fighter Tells His Opponent To Hit Him Again, Immediately Gets Brutally KO’d

Articles

Here’s a quick clip of a fight where one of the guys goes for a head kick, and it looks like his opponent gets his arm up at the very last second to block it. Which is good, because it looked like it was going to hurt.

The opponent tries to pull that Anderson Silva or Diaz style move, that you see a lot of guys do, to basically say “That didn’t even hurt me, what else ya got Ev?

He dropped his hands and got ready to eat the next shot, like the kid thinks he’s invincible.

The next shot?

It was another one of those kicks, obviously, and this time it landed flush. What’s that saying? “Play stupid games, win stupid prizes…”

And this time, there was no pretending.

Protip: Don’t act like a human boxing bag for your opponent to tee-off on. If you’re going to play that game, make sure you have the movement to get the hell out of Dodge before it’s too late.

Getting hit sucks, getting knocked out sucks even more, but getting knocked out after telling your opponent to kick you  again is right at the top. This guy probabally felt so awful after this, and he almost certainly learned a valuable lesson. They say you learn more from your losses than your wins, it’s just unfortunate that this one probably could have been avoided altogether. Let’s hope that next time around, this guy keeps his arms up and keeps his chin tucked.

Usually, when you see guys employing this strategy, they’re trying to lure in their opponent for a counter, but you can’t counter if you’re lying on the canvas. If you don’t have the speed or the footwork to safely keep your arms down, don’t do it.
