Well, as an estrogen blocker, clomiphene is quite useful during a steroid cycle. Estrogen blockers are commonly used to help restart natural testosterone production after steroid cycles, which can cause hypogonadism (that is, low testosterone).
Both of these guys have actually failed drug tests for clomiphene.
If that sounds unusual…well, you haven’t been paying close attention to MMA news. In 2014, Chael Sonnen failed a drug test for a bunch of things…including clomiphene, which was expected to help him recover from no longer being able to use TRT. More recently, Jon Jones was popped for using clomiphene.
The timing, given how Lesnar was potentially cycling off steroid use in WWE, certainly lines up.
This is about as bad as it gets for Lesnar, but it’s still not a big deal. He’ll go back to the WWE and…basically not care.
