Kane, Ryback and Big Show def. The Wyatt Family by Pinfall
Odd ending to this match, considering they’ve been looking to make the Wyatt Family into a legitimate heel stable after tearing them down at every step in 2015. Bray Wyatt sat this one out, so Harper, Rowan and Strowman went in. To the surprise of nobody, this was a standard slow-paced, three-on-three match. Luke Harper took the pin from Ryback and might have been injured after taking six body slams and a shell shock from Ryback. Hopefully he’s ok.
Charlotte def. Brie Bella by Submission
Brie played face effectively, using Daniel Bryan’s Yes! kicks, wearing his WrestleMania 30 kick pads and also borrowing some moves from her sister. Unfortunately, Brie was perhaps too ambitious in the ring, and wound up blatantly botching several spots, most notably going for a Yes Lock and just falling off Charlotte. Charlotte worked heel, taunting Brie and the crowd with Yes! chants.
Sloppy, ugly match that went on for a long while with each lady hitting their signature spots (and Brie hitting some of Nikki’s). The ending came with a cool spot where Brie turned a crossface into a single-leg Boston Crab, which Charlotte broke free from, and locked up the Figure-Eight.
AJ Styles def. Chris Jericho by Submission
Styles and Jericho had a very Japanese-style opening to the match, working super-technical and going for submissions. Very back-and-forth with some nail-biting near-falls and a really, really well-done near-count-out. Match went on for a long, long time before Styles hit the Styles Clash. Jericho kicked out but was finished right after with a calf-crusher.
