The Stockton Slap is one of the craziest techniques in MMA. It’s not that it does a great deal of damage or sets up a brutal knockout or anything. It’s just such a blatant sign of disrespect that it’s impressive a fighter can just do that to an opponent in the middle of a fight.

It shouldn’t be any surprise that Diaz did that exact same thing against Conor McGregor during their fight in the UFC 196 main event. Diaz found the time and opportunity to deliver an open-hand slap to the featherweight champion and McGregor had no answer to it.
