Ryan Jimmo was tragically killed in a hit and run car crash. We can’t call it an accident because the other driver hit him on purpose in an act of senseless road rage. It’s hard to imagine this being anything other than cold-blooded murder.
The driver is a coward for hitting Jimmo with his vehicle after the two had an altercation. He could have just drove away, but he decided to kill a man first. It’s disgusting, and it’s tragic, and it’s evil, and it’s very sad. This marked another huge loss to the world of combat sports, especially MMA in Canada where Jimmo was a local legend who made it onto the world’s stage.
It’s now been revealed that just hours before the accident, Jimmo had proposed to his girlfriend.
These monsters killed him just hours after he had proposed to his girlfriend and was going to get married, which adds even more tragedy to this senseless act. Our hearts are with Jimmo and his family as they go through this horrific time.
Ryan’s new fiance was in the car with him on that terrible night. She experienced a true nightmare, something most people will never have to face. We can’t even begin to imagine the emotional rollercoaster of that day. It would have been the happiest day of her life, and then turned into the worst day of her life in a split second. If she’s anything like her fiance, she’s a fighter, and we’re sending our best in these tough times.
The people responsible for the death of Ryan Jimmo have been caught by Canadian police and are awaiting trial. They’re only 22 and 23 years old, and they have already ruined many lives including their own. They’ll have their day in court eventually.
It’s hard to imagine getting away with a hit and run on an unarmed man who was standing near his vehicle as you’re cashing into him, but it has been speculated that the lawyers might try to twist things by saying that Jimmo was such an intimidating guy that the people in the truck were afraid of their lives. None the less, there’s no evidence that could suggest they were in any actual Danger, so let’s hope the trial goes well and these murderers don’t get away with their crime.
