The initial dialogue after he attacked the young black girl was to say that this was a racially charged attack, however his defence to those accusations is the fact that he has a black girlfriend.

Officer Fields has been relieved of duty. Here’s what his lawyer had to say:
“We believe that Mr. Fields’ actions were justified and lawful throughout the circumstances of which he was confronted during this incident.”
He’ll have to empty out his locker and find a new job. Probably with another police force a county or two over.
The girl was asked to leave the classroom, and she refused to leave, opting instead to sit quietly at her desk in an effort to perhaps actually learn something in school. Crazy, right?
