Tito Ortiz returns to fight MMA in October

Many thought that with the trilogy between Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz in November was the final fight for both these veterans, but after avenging his losses with Liddell, it seems that Ortiz will continue fighting.

“I’ll probably fight in October,” Ortiz said.

One More For Fun

“After fighting with Liddell last year, I thought it was going to be the last. But my body is intact, everything was fast, everything is fine. The training has been good. The sparring has been great. So let’s do one more for fun.”

At 44 years of age, the UFC Hall of Fame member has once again found a great level in his career after considering retiring from the octagon.

After losing seven of his last nine fights in the UFC, Ortiz posted a 3-1 record at Bellator MMA, where he defeated Chael Sonnen , Stephan Bonnar and Alexander Shlemenko , losing only to Liam McGeary.

Although he announced his retirement after his fourth Bellator MMA fight, Ortiz was wanted by Golden Boy Promotions for a third fight with Liddell, with whom he had lost twice.

The third was different, since Ortiz appeared in great shape, beating Chuck, who was slow and with bad cardio. Ortiz knocked out Liddell in the first round.

That victory motivated him to keep fighting, at least one more time. Ortiz told TMZ Sports that he has a rival for his return in October , but he can not announce it yet.
