Teddy started training Jiu-Jitsu in order to lose a few pounds before an election. He fell in love with it. His lineage is completly legit, too. He was trained in Jiu-Jitsu and Judo by Yamashita Yoshiaki, who was a direct student of Jigaro Kano (The founder of Judo.)

Teddy Roosevelt wrote many historical letters, we found an excerpt from one of them in which he talks about his training and compares different forms of martial arts. He would have been a die hard fan of the UFC.
