Recently in Russia, an auditorium full of people gathered around to watch Sensei Steven Seagal show-off his martial arts skills in an Aikido “masterclass”. It was laughable how ridiculous it looked. He was casually flipping people around and sending them flying, while barely moving or lifting a finger. Even to the layman, it looked completely fake… but apparently there’s more to it than meets the eye.
Steven was asked if that video was fake, because it looks FAKE AS HELL, but he insists that it’s completely real and is even offended that someone could ask such a thing:
“I’m gonna try not to be insulted man, I’ve been doing martial arts all my life.” – Steven Seagal
In the most condescending way possible, he explains to the reporter that when you twist someone’s arm with the right technique, they tend to go with it to avoid having it snap. You’ve got to see it for yourself, the video’s on the next page.
He’s either the biggest troll in all of martial arts, or completely delusional. We’re leaning towards the latter. Still, many high-level fighters let him hang out at their training camps and even let him into their locker rooms before fights.
Steven Seagal is infamous in the world of MMA for taking credit for other people’s accomplishments, most notably when Anderson Silva knocked out Vitor Belfort with an epic front kick and Seagal claimed that he taught that kick to Anderson.
Seagull doesn’t embody any of the traits of a true martial artist, yet fighters keep humoring him and showing respect. Well, most of them do, anyways. Check out the video on the next page where he claims that Aikido demo was 100% legit.
