Pisani wells up with tears immediately after, but ended up downright livid by the time she sat down with media, shaming Mosley a bit for letting the incident happen and offering Mayorga $10,000 USD to give her five minutes of time to punch him in the face. Mosley, for his part, comes just short of saying he’s going to flippin’ murder that dude, a notion which Pisani got behind.
Mayorga was unfazed, saying he slapped her butt to get a rise out of Mosley. When the media told him about the $10,000 offer, he offered Mosley’s girlfriend $25,000 to let him do it again!
Obviously, this is a completely classless display from, frankly, a completely classless boxer. Some have speculated that this sequence may have been staged or planned…and it definitely seems like a possibility, given the out-of-place double-bend by Pisani. Regardless, Mayorga, has a long, storied history of getting under opponents’ skin, and this is not the first time where he has used an opponent’s wife as part of the build-up to a match.
