Steroid allegations are going to follow Northcutt around for his entire career, there’s just no avoiding it when you’re that ripped and lean all year round and when your overbearing father was a competitive bodybuilder and an infamous steroid dealer. Until Sage actually fails a test, it’s all speculation and he gets the benefit of the doubt…
Some fans have even gone as far as to suggest that Sage could be on something and not even realize it, that he could be getting secretly dosed by his father. Others say that his physique is just the result of someone who has been training since they were 4 years old, so that’s 15 years worth of gains, discipline, and perfect nutrition.
Sage’s next opponent, Cody Pfister, seems to think it’s more of the former than the latter:
“He’s f’ing jacked, I’m sure he’s juicing…” – Cody Pfister
But in the next breath, he stepped down the tone of his allegations drastically:
“…but who knows. I might be wrong on that and he’s just naturally gifted, but it doesn’t matter.”
That’s called covering your ass.
We’ve said it before, but it’s a damn shame that his fight nickname isn’t “The Sister“.
