RUMOR: Silva To Return Sooner Than Expected?

Featured

The MMA world is still abuzz about Anderonson Silva and that crazy leg snap from UFC 168. Apparently within a day or two of the injury, The Spider was already asking his doctor when he’ll be able to return to the Octagon. Twitter pictures via Dana White from a couple days ago showed Silva in good spirits, showing his stitched up leg and saying he’ll be able to start walking without crutches in about 30 days. Miraculous!

We were able to get in touch with Anderson’s Silva surgeon, who seemed to know nothing about Doctor-Patient confidentiality (Maybe it’s a Brazilian thing?) and he told us they are planning a really interesting procedure to get Silva back in action as soon as possible. Here’s the quote…

“Here’s the thing that most people are forgetting. Yes, he broke his leg. ONE of his legs. Spiders have 8 legs, so after a simple amputation of the broken leg, and replacing it with one of his healthy legs, he’ll be back in training in as little as 60 days, just in time  to start preparing to fight the winner of Vitor and Weidman. Or maybe he’ll fight GSP in a return-to-the-UFC-showdown, or maybe he’ll fight Cain Velasquez just for fun, or maybe he’ll make the cut to women’s strawweight. Either way, don’t tell anyone you heard this from me…”
