Rumble Finally Reveals He Retired From MMA To Start THIS Illegal Business

Articles

When Rumble Johnson retired after his Cormier fight and said he was moving into another industry, all sorts of speculation started to fly. Rumble wouldn’t reveal what it was, which lead to all sorts of speculation, including a pivot to the NFL.

It turns out he’s getting involved with a certain booming industry, and just waiting until things are fully legalized before taking it any further. You can fill in the blanks.

“We’re opening up a facility if you know what I mean,” he said. “It’s for medical uses. … We got some good things going on. It’s already big. We’re just waiting for that law to pass and whenever it passes, we’re golden. We’re playing our cards right, we’re playing by the book, so that way there’s no issue.”

It looks like Johnson won’t be heading to the NFL after all, though this seems like a very interesting business to be getting into in itself. Johnson shocked the mixed martial arts world when he retired immediately after losing to UFC champion Daniel Cormier at UFC 210 back in April, but it wasn’t just the allure of green cash that made him want to leave the sport.

So, this explains why he was initially sheepish about going into too many details about his future business endeavors. He doesn’t flat out say it, but it definitely sounds like it has to do with the recreational cannabis industry.
