Rory MacDonald is the next generation of fighter, brought up with a rounded skill-set and crafted from the same fire as GSP. Everyone thought Rory would be taking the title after Georges stepped down, but things didn’t quite work out that way… None the less, it’s hard to imagine a WW division where Rory isn’t wearing the belt sooner or later, he’s still young with a ton of career in front of him. He’s also got one of the best pre-fight stare downs in the game. It’s extra creepy because he’s got that whole serial killer thing going on with the suits (Patrick Bateman anyone?) and the calm, stoic demeanor.
Rory MacDonald is undeniable. He’s getting better all the time, he’s already beat some legends, and it’s only a matter of time before he wins the belt. The fans in Halifax were going crazy for the man who’s been tapped to be the next Canadian MMA hero to fill Georges’ shoes. If you saw Rory’s most recent fight in Halifax, you could tell that he was in Taric’s head… without having to say a word.
