Ronda Rousey Says She’d Wreck Muhammad Ali’s Daughter Laila Despite Weight Advantage

Despite Joe Rogan saying that Ronda has flawless technique with her boxing, she should probably be careful if she’s thinking about getting in there with a professional boxer. Ronda’s striking works because people are terrified of her Judo, but take away the Judo and things could look a lot different.

“World class”

It all started when somebody asked Laila Ali whether or not Ronda Rousey could beat her in a fight:

“No woman in the world can beat me. Period.” – Laila Ali

Not even Ronda?

“Of course not,” Ali added. “She’s too much smaller than me anyways. She’s like the size of my daughter. My 3-year-old.”

Ronda wasn’t a huge fan of those comments, because Ronda also believes that she could beat anyone on earth in a fight.

Here’s how Ronda responded to Ali’s claims:

“If she wants to take me up on that, I’m around. She’s retired and has several kids. I understand why she’d think that because she has a size advantage, but if you saw my last fight it had nothing to do with size or strength at all. That’s not how I beat people. So you can’t count having a size and strength advantage as having a real advantage against me.” – Ronda Rousey

Next, somebody asked Dana White what he thought about the match-up and he said he’d love to make the fight, he wants Ali to call him and set it up.

Then the dust settled for a while, but after watching Ronda’s most recent fight against Bethe Correia, Laili Ali had some commentary to add and Ronda probably won’t like it, either.

“In her last fight, she had a bloody nose,” Ali says. “The fight ended in 34 seconds. I’d be pissed. If that was me and I walked away with a bloody nose, I’d think I didn’t do something right. When you say she wants to be a boxer, I would recommend she works on head movement.”

Muhammad Ali wasn’t in love with the idea of his daughter getting into boxing, but she took inspiration from her father…

“My dad tried to talk me out of being a boxer,” Laila says. “When he found out I was actually training to be a professional boxer and he got word, he asked me if it was the truth. I said, ‘Yeah it’s true, dad.’ He started trying to indirectly talk me out of it. What are you going to do when you get hit on the side of the head? I’m like that happened when you did it. He said what’s going to happen when you get knocked down with the whole world watching? I said I’m going to get back up just like you did.”
