Ronda Rousey “I need a time to think about my future”
Just one day after Amanda Nunes demolish Ronda Rousey in 48 seconds in UFC 207 Starfighter combat, the former champion revealed that she needs some time to think and reflect on her future. This loss may be have been a wake up call for Ronda that she is really not at her game right now and if she going to make any form of a decent come back she need to really be in tip top shape and not all over the place as she has been since her humiliating loss to Holly Holm.
This is what Ronda Rousey said on ESPN to her fans “I would like to thank all my fans who have been with me, not only in the best moments but also in the difficult” Their words to me are love and support” she said in a statement to ESPN.
“Return not only to fight, but win, was my main focus since last year. “Sometimes, when you’re prepared and give everything you have to look that in the largest possible way.” No matter how you planned it, I have pride in seeing how the women’s division is currently in the UFC. And also all the other women who have made part of this possible, including Amanda.
“I need time to reflect and think about the future, thank you for believing in me and also understand me.”
The nine round bout with Nunes was the first round Ronda’s fight since he lost the front belt Holly Holm in UFC 193. This fight was the center piece of the night and was held at the T-Mobile Arena. But it ended faster than many thought in just about 48 seconds.
Herb Dean decided to stop the fight at only 48 seconds, this after the brutal fists of Nunes, round end not knocked, but the bout was halted by caring for the physical integrity of the American.
Ronda after the fight left the Octagon without needing medical care. She did not speak for the cameras after his defeat.
Where do Ronda Rousey go from here? What do you think her future now holds after two consecutive defeats? Regardless she may be on the right foot here guess at some moment we all need time to reflect, this maybe a good way for Ronda to ring in her new year in 2017 with some deep reflection.
