It is no secret that Paulie Malignaggi doesn’t think much of Conor McGregor and he made it known publicly to “The Notorious”. However, it seems that things between the two athletes have moved from dislike to pure hatred so much so that disgusted Paulie is filmed spitting on a Mural of Conor McGregor.
As fans of MMA and combat sports, we are sure many of you are accustomed to the banter that goes back and forth between fighters. We have seen it recently with the war of words with Conor and Khabib and even more recently between Jones and Adesanya.
This kind of rhetoric is all part of the parts sometimes even though things can get out of hand at times. However, Paulie has taken it to the next level, he not just exchanging words with McGregor he wants him and the public to know how much he hates the so call retired fighter.
Paulie Malignaggi, on the other hand, has a deep-rooted beef with Conor steaming from the video McGregor released where he dropped the WBA and IBF champ during their sparring sessions during the time McGregor was preparing for the Mayweather Jr Fright.
Paulie had lashed out via social media claiming he was not knocked down by McGregor and that the video clip does do not show the complete truth. So vehement Paulie has been that Dana White UFC president recently release the video in hopes to quell the noise between Paulie and Conor however that has not seemed to have worked. Pulie let his dislike for Conor be known recently in public by spitting at his mural.
What I Think of This Guy Right Here
The video was first posted to Malignaggi’s Instagram page with the tag Artem Lobov. The incident occurred in Santa Monica, California. He was asked:
Q:“what do you think about this guy?”
A“This guy right here?”
Q“Yeah this guy.”
Malignaggi then does the most disgusting thing a person can do to show disrespect he spits at the mural. It also an unequivocal expression of his he feels towards McGregor call it petty as some have, but Paulie does not seem to care.
What Next for Paulie Malignaggi
He has not seen any action in the ring since 2017, however, he set to return to action in June where he will face off with Artem Lobov a bare-knuckle boxing match. From his comments, Malignaggi is looking forward to the bout in hope to tease Conor McGregor himself to fight him. Paulie sees this as the only way to settle the dispute between the two men.
“I put his boy in a coma…once I do that in June, he will want to fight me, but the conversation doesn’t even get initiated unless 12 rounds of sparring, unedited, the way it actually happens, comes out. If it doesn’t, then Conor doesn’t even start the conversation.”
Artem being from McGregor camp will have to pay for his transgressions well at least that is what Malignaggi intends to do in June.
