Ronda Rousey caught a lot of eyes when she said that she wanted to be a champion in the UFC, WWE, boxing and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Included among that lot is former boxing P4P great and current boxing promoter Oscar de la Hoya.
Ronda Rousey is modeling her career after legendary pro wrestler Ultimo Dragon, who held and defended 10 different titles at once across the United States, Mexico and Japan.
That’s no surprise, of course. If you’ve looked at the front page of any MMA website over the last six months, you’ve probably noticed that Ronda Rousey is big business. She walks the walk, talks the talk and the world at large just can’t get enough of her. She’s a promoter’s dream, whether that promoter is into MMA, boxing, wrestling or grappling.

And Uncle Oscar wants to get in on Rousey, Inc.. So much so that he put on his suit, pulled out his Golden Boy Promotions phone and gave her a call about potentially promoting a boxing match with her.
