New York Legalizes MMA After an Almost 20 Year Ban On The Sport

Today was a good day for MMA fans, especially if you live on the east coast of America. The New York State Assembly passed a bill that opens up MMA to legalization within the state.




It’s almost been 20 years that MMA has been banned from the state of New York and now looks set for a welcome return for many.

The UFC will now be able to set events at New York City’s famous Madison Square Garden, Barclays Center in Brooklyn, and other cities in upstate New York.

New York was the last and only American state to not allow MMA.
