After almost three years, Nate Diaz will return to the UFC octagon While UFC 237 takes place from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Dana White himself has confirmed through Twitter that the Stockton native will return to the MMA to face Anthony Pettis at UFC 241, to be held in Anaheim, California




The contest will take place at 170 pounds, welterweight bout at UFC 241. According to Ariel Helwani and Brett Okamoto of ESPN, the fight is about to be finalized by the promotion and has already been verbally agreed by both parties.

The last time Diaz competed was on August 20, 2016, when he lost via Majority Decision to Conor McGregor in an anticipated rematch that took place at UFC 202. Since then, Diaz has been close to returning to the activity because the previous year he was going to co-star in UFC 230 against Dustin Poirier, but the fight was canceled due to an injury of the interim division champion.
