Muay Thai Legend Saenchai Will Be Fighting On UFC Fight Pass Later This Month

Muay Thai

We’ve been talking about kickboxing quite a bit lately. Yesterday, we delivered you a piece about the Top 10 Muay Thai Knockouts, and we know you totally read the article, watched the video and shared both with all your friends. We know you want to watch more, and want to know about what’s going on in the world of kickboxing.

With that in mind, we’re here to deliver some good news. Suphachai Saenpong, better known as muay thai legend Saenchai, has signed with Glory Kickboxing, and will debut on June 25 live on UFC Fight Pass.

This is me when I read this news.

This is me when I read this news.

Now I know what you’re thinking. “Who is this Saenchai guy, and why should I even care? For that matter, who are you?” and I understand. While he’s a muay thai legend, he’s not a big name in boxing or MMA and doesn’t really roll with either of those groups, so you probably just haven’t heard of him.

Here’s a rundown of Saenchai facts, though:

  • 35 years old
  • Started training at 8 years old, started competing at 14
  • Won his first title at 16 years old
  • Over 300 recorded fights, record of 295-52-3
  • Crazy explosiveness, fastest kicks you’ll ever see
  • Very, very creative! Uses strikes you’ll never see elsewhere

Don’t believe me? Well, just check out this fan-made highlight video for a small sample of what he’s capable of:

Unfortunately, we don’t have many details on his debut outside the date, so we have no clue at this moment as to who he will fightor what weight class he will compete in. Still, it’s hard not to get excited.

Now that you know who Saenchai is, though, there’s no reason for you to not tune in later this month! So make sure you do it!
