Muay Thai legend Buakaw Banchamek is one of the greatest the sport has ever seen. He started fighting and entertaining people with his skills in 1990, he is now one of the longest serving Thai fighters still competing.




He has 226 wins with only 23 losses, the fans and experts hold this guy regard as the greatest of his era.

Buakaw still entertains crowds round the globe with his skills, fans are still flocking to his fights even if he has been fighting relatively unknown guys recently.

Buakaw, in the last year alone, has picked up two world titles. Now, he is looking at switching to MMA. This news is creating so much talk in the kickboxing community. Not to mention the whole of the MMA world!

Buakaw is not the only Muay Thai fighter in the world of MMA, Saenchai is making people talk with his call out of Conor McGregor recently.

“His punches are hard and accurate, his kicks are not that great.” Said Saenchai, If he were to fight a real Muay Thai fighter, then he would have no chance of winning. He can’t beat ‘Thai Muay Thai.”

When Saenchai was asked how do you think McGregor would do against a Muay Thai fighter, Saenchai said, “Well, bring it on, I would win. I would definitely win.”

Saenchai is looking for a new challenge away from Muay Thai, MMA looks like where he will end up. GSP invited him to train at the Tristar gym in Canada. Tristar head coach Firas Zahabi, the Tristar head coach, confirmed that he is in talks with Saenchai and he will host the Muay Thai fighter in the future.
