Here are the two most recent examples of domestic violence in MMA.
Here’s the couple during happier times.
UFC Heavyweight contender Travis Browne was accused of domestic violence by his ex Jenna Renee Webb, when she posted photos showing injuries on Instagram and said that they were caused by Browne.
She was accused of inflicting these wounds on herself by Travis Browne’s manager.
“My response to John Fosco’s assertion that I may have personally inflicted these bruises and wounds on my body is totally absurd.”
She went on to explain why she choose to post these images on Instagram instead of heading directly to the police.
“Going to the authorities means having Travis arrested, going to jail, charged with a felony, losing his career and possibly losing his kids. I chose not to do this.”
Travis Browne had to cancel his appearance during UFC 189’s Fight Week and has yet to make a public statement about the allegations.
