Here’s a Vine of the finisher:
Absolutely devastating. Or in the words of ol’ Jim Ross…”OH MY GOD! ROCK BOTTOM! ROCK BOTTOM! ROCK BOTTOM!”
The bout, which took place at Pancrase 271 and was aired on UFC Fight Pass, officially ended via slam at 1:12 of Round 1. It was a big rebound win for Nogueira, who was coming off a loss to Shooto standout and Japanese MMA veteran Masakatsu Ueda. It also represents the most impressive win for Nogueira since being released from Bellator back in 2012.
Fun times. Nogueira has quietly worked his way back into the hunt for a spot in the top-10 rankings at 135 pounds. Watch out for him in the future, folks!
