Will it be Conor vs Nate 3, will Floyd come out of retirement again to try to roll it back one more time, will he fight Khabib or maybe Tony Ferguson? Well, if Michael Phelps has his way, he’ll be the next one to face Conor… except not in MMA or boxing…
Michael Phelps tweeted out congrats to Conor and Floyd after their fight, and then sent out this funny photo edit showing himself competing against Conor McGregor in the water. Obviously Phelps is just kidding around, but at this point, is anything really out of the question for Conor?
Could you imagine if he just went from sport to sport, challenging whoever the current greats are?
Rumor has it that Michael Phelps and Discovery Channel will spend a month promoting the Phelps vs McGregor swimming race, except once everyone’s already bought the PPV, they’ll reveal he’s just racing a CGI Conor McGregor and not the real thing. It’ll be like the shark all over again. Fool us once, Phelps…
On a more serious note, all signs are pointing towards a Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz trilogy. It might not be Conor’s very next fight, but it’s hard to imagine this fight not taking place, and it could be a dangerous fight for Conor – but when has he ever tried to look for the easy route, anyways?
