A nice little rivalry was brewing between Ireland’s Conor McGregor and America’s Cole Miller. If it weren’t for Conor’s big personality and Miller’s willingness to talk trash right back that lead to some interesting exchanges leading up to this fight, it really wouldn’t have been a big deal. McGregor remains unproven, and Miller isn’t necessarily filling arenas. None the less, people were excited for this fight and it’s a damn shame that it’s not going to be happening. Cole Miller had to pull out due to an injury in training. C’est la vie.
So what does any of this have to do with Kenny Powers? Nothing at all, but so what?
Brandao Filling In for Miller
Diego Brandao is going to be stepping in for Miller, and realistically this is a better chance for McGregor to silence more of the doubters. A win against Brandao will, undoubtedly, do more for McGregor’s career than a win over Miller. On the flip-side, a loss to Brandao wouldn’t have the same sting as a loss to Miller would.
Got some time to kill? If you missed the McGregor / Miller back and forth, it’s not too late to check it out (Even thought= the fight isn’t happening.) In the end, it’s Conor who should be saying “tanks“.
