Jon Jones will face off Thiago Santos at UFC 239

Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones will have his next belt defense against Thiago Santos at UFC 239 on July 6 in Las Vegas.The information was confirmed by Dana White on ESPN

The fight will main event the PPV, that will be held in the T-Mobile Arena. Both athletes already accepted the fight and will sign the contract shortly.

Jones challenged former champion Stipe Miocic this morning through his social networks, but the fight was never discussed.

Bones comes from beating Anthony Smith at UFC 235. The fight with Marreta Santos will be his third in seven months.

Santos, comes from a streak of three consecutive victories since he climbed to the Lightweight Champ. Where he beat Eryk Anders, Jimi Manuwa and Jan Blachowicz.

It was also revealed that Amanda Nunes will defend her bantamweight belt against Holly Holm in the co-star of UFC 239.

UFC 239 will be held on July 6 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
