That’s a rough turn for the WWE, who is already trying to work through an incredibly depleted roster. Other stars currently on the shelf include Seth Rollins, Randy Orton, Cesaro, Daniel Bryan, Nikki Bella, Sting, and Tyson Kidd. Cena going under the knife means that literally every champion exiting WrestleMania 31 is out right now

It’s currently unknown what Cena’s specific injury is and there isn’t a definite timetable for his return. That said, he is almost certainly going to be out of the Royal Rumble, and numerous sources are saying he is unlikely to be available for WrestleMania 32. While Cena has a Wolverine-like ability to recover from injuries, it feels unlikely that he could work a match in just three months.
