When Holly Holm knockout Ronda Rousey much of the sporting would sat back in shock, but none were as shocked as Ronda Rousey herself.
Ronda recently revealed that she had suicidal thoughts after her defeat to Holm in UFC 193. Holy has just commented on Ronda’s recent TV interview saying how she would never let herself get so low to be able to be in such a state of mind.
Holly said: “I’ve never been in that position and I’m probably the worst person to ask for advice on that, I definitely don’t want to sit here and say ‘I’m so sorry’ because I know for me I have a competitive mind and I’m confident that Ronda’s the same, you don’t won’t sympathy from the person who’s created this, that almost makes it even more frustrating.” Holly went on to say how she hopes Ronda doesn’t ever entertain such an idea.
Holm went on to explain how the best thing to do is face the fact straight away, if you lose, you have to start getting back to what you’re good at. Holly said: “For me, I got knocked out, I got my ass stitched and went out to the press conference. It started there, before I could leave and have those dark thoughts.”
