After serving for 10 years, Chris Mintz had started his college career and was preparing for the next chapter in his life.

According to his aunt, Chris was shot 7 times while trying to protect other students. He was shot in the abdomen, hands, back, and he also suffered two broken legs during the altercation.

When you see someone with a gun opening fire, and your first instinct is to rush them to save as many lives as possible, even when you’re unarmed, there’s not even a word for that kind of bravery.

“We’re not sure how his legs got broken,” said his aunt. “He was on the wrestling team and and he’s done cage-fighting so it does not surprise me that he would act heroically.”
