Guy Challenges Martial Artist To Hit Him, Says That His Energy Shields Will Protect Him

Martial arts is a lot of things to a lot of people. Here at Fight State, martial arts is usually dudes with shaved heads and hella tattoos punching and kneeing and elbowing each other in the face.  For many out in the world, however, martial arts is a Shaolin monk doing kata on top of a mountain and then meditating.

Sometimes martial arts means Conor McGregor punching Jose Aldo in the face. Sometimes it's a Chinese guy being held up on four spears.

There’s a level of magic and mythos around the martial arts and with that in mind…there are a few crazies that end up trickling into the pool. Take, for example, this dude right here, who says he can create energy fields that make him invulnerable to attack.

Naturally (and rightly), the style has more than a few doubters and he invited one boxer to test his might. Unsurprisingly…it didn’t go so well for him. Check it out:

While this dude may seem insane, it’s not that far off the beaten path for martial arts. Lots of martial arts incorporate the ideas of “chakra” or “chi” and some prompt disciples to focus it in hands, feet or their head in order to shatter concrete slabs. This one just goes one step further by having people channel it outside their body.

Of course, this isn’t the world of Naruto or Street Fighter…so there isn’t a magical energy inside of people that can be used to manipulate the world around them. Never even mind being able to use it to stop someone from attacking them.

I'm willing to admit I pretended to throw fireballs as a kid...but I didn't try to make a martial art of it.

Remember, current and future parents, there are plenty of other fake martial arts out there that pitch a lot of ridiculous nonsense. If anybody ever tells you that they’ll teach this to your kids…run, and go find a taekwondo or karate school!
