Dana said, “what’s happened is, we’ve pull Conor McGregor from UFC 200 and we’re working on other fights right now. Conor did not want to come to Las Vegas to film the commercial or be apart of any of the marketing we have. He’s in Iceland training and it’s not possible.”

“This has only happened one other time in UFC history, it’s when Nick Diaz didn’t show up for the press conference with George St-Pierre, and I pull Nick Diaz from the fight.”

You're not going nowhere: Dana told McGregor he is off the UFC 200 card.

“We’ve had other incidences like this where guys didn’t want to do the press conference — you have to.”

“So Conor put out that tweet, is Conor McGregor retiring? Only he can answer that question, but he’s not fighting at UFC 200.”

Dana spoke of what Conor told him about leaving Iceland right away whilst he is training, and how it would have an effect, “He is in Iceland training and he felt that leaving right now would hurt his training and getting ready for this fight, but every other fighter on the card is coming..”

Dana is not happy with Conor not wanting to come to Vegas.

“I get accused of coddling Conor all the time, I respect Conor, Conor is a guy that’s stepped up and taken a fight on short notice, and literally saved the show, but it doesn’t make you exempt for showing at the press conference and all the pre-promotional stuff we have to do.”

“We’ve spent a lot of money on this stuff and you have to do it its mandatory.”

“We still have a good relationship with Conor, I respect Conor as a fighter, and I like him as a person, it’s just — you can’t decide to not show up to these things, you have to do it.”
