Dana White famously used a flip phone for years, until very recently, when he was forced to upgrade to an iPhone so that investigators could keep tabs on all of his actions, according to Joe Rogan.
The UFC is defending themselves in several lawsuits, which his why we don’t see Dana White doing his media scrums anymore, because when he talks off the cuff he says things that are contradictory to the UFC’s best interests, to put it lightly.

On a recent episode of his podcast, Joe Rogan casually mentioned that Dana White is no longer allowed to use a flip phone, instead he needs to use a smart phone so that his communications and actions are easier to trace because he is under investigation. Plus, it’s weird to see someone with Dana White’s net worth using an old school flip phone.
Joe Rogan: Beyonce did the central park concert, it was a free concert and Dana White came up to me saturday night after the fights, pulls over his iPhone, and said watch this.

Joe Rogan: Nah, he has an iPhone now. They make him use the iPhone because he’s under some investigation so they have to be able to track all of his shit because they’re getting sued, there’s a bunch of shit going on. Anyways…
