Rumors and not less the fiery desire of fans have been dreaming about the between the champions of 135 and 145 pounds at UFC could finally come true on  July 7. It looks like the featherweight division of the UFC women’s team will have to stay in the works for a while longer, as Cris Cyborg publicly accepted the fight offered against female bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes for UFC 226 on 7 July.

Cyborg took pride in announcing her decision on Instagram , making it clear that the fight would happen as long as her manager and the UFC can come to an agreement. Many fans of both these women are hoping these two sides can agree quickly in time for the fight.

I have agreed to fight against @amanda_leoa on July 7 in Las Vegas as part of # UFC226 and # InternationalFightWeek. Now I am waiting for my manager to work with the @ufc in a combat agreement so that we can make official #CyborgVNunes #TheSuperFight, “said the Cyborg publication.

Initially, Cyborg doubted the fight and even advocated defending the 145-pound title and continuing to develop that division. Now we just have to wait for the details to be resolved.

Cyborg’s past fights have never been easy to match up and program, as many who have said they are willing to fight Cyborg begin to get terribly apprehensive as soon as a contract is sent.
