What is noteworthy is that Conor McGregor had announced his retirement from UFC  then just as sudden as his retirement he issued a cryptic tweet announcing his return or what many interpreted to be his return.

The end “Now see you in the Octagon” created speculation about Conor return to UFC

As the controversy surrounding McGregor continues it was alleged that he wanted shares in UFC to which White stated that the UFC would never give Conor McGregor shares.

However, that may change as it was announced recently that the UFC owners have decided to make the company a public traded company on wall street, then any investor could basically buy shares.

Dana White has stated he does not like the idea and that the move could see him being removed as president.  Interestingly “The Notorious” recently completed a six-month suspension by the Nevada Athletic Commission because of a brawl at UFC 229.

McGregor was slated to fight Donald Cerrone but he refused on the grounds that he will only fight main card events at UFC.

If Conor McGregor decides to return to the Octagon he will have an opportunity at another victory since his last win at UFC 205 against Eddie Alvarez. It seems White and McGregor has been in negotiation behind the scenes for quite some time but what is the reason is yet to be announced.

At the press conference, White suggests that an announcement could be made in two weeks after his meeting with McGregor. Many fans are hoping for Conor McGregor return to face Khabib Nurmagomedov again or will McGregor be returning as some UFC official?
