Conor McGregor Thinks Living In Vegas Will Help Him Win Diaz Rematch

Articles

For his huge 13 second victory over former champion Jose Aldo, Conor McGregor famously trained in Vegas while staying at “The Mac Mansion“. Training in Vegas when you’re going to fight in Vegas just makes sense. The air is different in Las Vegas than in Dublin. If you’re already used to the timezone, you don’t have to worry about jetlag or travel or anything like that. It’s more energy that can be focused on the fight.

In the first Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz fight, Conor had returned to Ireland to train. Things didn’t go his way, but that probabally has more to do with Nate Diaz than where Conor was training at the time.

None the less, Conor is living in Las Vegas again and putting in a lot of training time with his team in order to prepare for the Diaz rematch.

After seeing all the behind the scenes footage of Conor living it up in Las Vegas, it’s no wonder he wanted to come back. His goal is the destination, but who says he shouldn’t enjoy the journey, too?

It’s kind of ironic, because if Conor would have just moved to Vegas to start training a little bit sooner, he could have stayed on the card for UFC 200. Maybe this was the plan all along? The UFC still gets to sell a big McGregor PayPerView, and 200 without Conor + 202 with Conor probabally earns them more sales than 200 with Conor.
