In an interview Dana Whites says “Conor has to make a decision once. If you decide to wait until August or September to return, that will mean that two years have passed since that belt was defended and that can not happen”. Any one who follows knows that Conor has won a lot of money and if he wants to fight or not it is his decision, but the belt must move.
“We will do Khabib against Tony, the winner will face McGregor. But if Conor does not want to fight, the fight between Khabib and Ferguson should be for the undisputed title, not for the interim.” This is how Dana White recently talked about Conor McGregor. At the moment it is not clear when the Irishman will defend the title, but it will have to be before the summer.
Conor has been very quite after he lost against boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. however Conor must remember that he was and is a UFC player first and their are still expectation that both UFC and his fans have of him. What he decides is really now up to him.
