Conor Just Revealed His Terms For His Next Opponent

Articles

Conor McGregor’s next opponent has been a topic of heated discussion. Some have thought it could be an actual boxing bout against Paulie, others have said he should get back down to 155 and defend his UFC belt against whoever the top contendor is, but at the end of the day there’s really one guy calling the shots here, and that’s Conor McGregor… and he’s made it crystal clear what he wants for his next fight.

Conor McGregor wants to complete his trilogy against Nate Diaz, except this time around he’s insisting that they fight at 155. The first time they met at 170, and Nate won, and then Conor wanted the rematch at the same weight, so he got it, and then he won the rematch. Third time is the charm, and this time around Conor McGregor insists that his fight against Nate be for the belt.

That’s definitely the money fight, even if Nate isn’t exactly in title contention at 155, he’s never really that far away either, and this fight has a lot of interesting story and hype behind it, so it’s hard to imagine Conor not getting what he wants here, even Nate isn’t the number 1 contender. The UFC has shown not only a willingness, but a giddy enthusiasm, to completely disregard the rankings when making fights.

Having the belt on the line this time against Nate, and having it be their third time crossing paths, it adds a whole level of excitement and hype to this fight.

Even if you’re in the camp of people who want to see Conor fighting someone else, you know Nate is going to show up and you know it’s going to be a great fight becasue both of their past fights already were. You have to imagine the UFC will have a hard time booking their biggest name in Conor against Khabib who hasn’t had the best track record of showing up for fights, whether it is due to weight issues or injuries.

Here’s the brief interview where Conor talks about his upcoming plans, what do you think? Who do you want to see Conor fight next?
