Disclaimer: The Ultimate Fighter show has been losing steam rapidly in recent seasons, and some would argue for longer than that. The upcoming season is coached by bitter rivals TJ Dillashaw and Cody Barbrandt, who along with Domimick Cruz, have been passing the belt around amongst themselves. Now, it’s possible this was some sort of “Let’s test your head movement, I’m going to try to grab you” challenge, but you’ll have to check out the video and see for yourself, it definitely looks legit. The choke comes right at the end of the preview which we’ll embed below.
Cody Garbrandt vs TJ Dillashaw UFC
The two coaches of opposite teams on TUF were guaranteed to get into it, but who really expected one of them to lay hands on the other one? This isn’t the start of their issues, the two former training partners became rivals when TJ Dillashaw left Team Alpha Male on bad terms to train elsewhere, so when Garbrandt won the belt, it was a no-brainer to set these two up.
Cody also claims to have video footage of himself knockout out TJ, who has been rumored to go very hard and training and get frustrated to a point where training partners could get needlessly hurt. The fact is, what happens in training is supposed to stay in tr aining when it comes to KO’ing someone out, or people having bad days and breaking down, etc. It’s considered taboo to share that with the world, but TJ refutes the claims that Cody has ever knocked him out:

So if Cody does actually have this video that he claims, it’s really the only way he’ll save his credability here, TJ is basically teasing him to release it by saying it doesn’t exist.
Anyways, here’s the preview for the new season of TUF. They’re bringing back a lot of fighters you may recognize from the past. At the end of the clip, you can see Cody violently grab TJ’s neck.
