Could Chael Sonnen Really Be Fighting In Bellator Soon?

Articles

It’s been a minute since Chael Sonnen has been in the news, he’s been enjoying retirement and relaxing and swimming in pools full of money that he earned as the P4P World PayPerView Champion. None the less, many true warriors don’t know when it’s time to hang ’em up and ride into the sunset.

Now, Chael can’t compete in the UFC for a little bit less than two years after accepting the ban from the Nevada Athletic Commission. That didn’t stop him from competing at Metamoris 4, and it might not stop him from making the flip to Bellator. Wait, what?! Yeah, it’s possible…

Sonnen has always been a company man, but the UFC fired him after his recent steroid issues so his loyalty might be up in the air.

He wouldn’t be the first MMA great to make the switch, most notibly Rampage Jackson and Tito Ortiz have made the move to finish off the autumn of their careers in Bellator. Most recently, Stephan Bonnar signed a contract with Bellator.

Will Chael Sonnen be next? A little birdy from West Linn, Oregon says “Yes.”
