Brock Lesnar Hates Promoting Fights (VIDEO)

MMA

Any longtime MMA or pro wrestling journalist will attest to the fact that Brock Lesnar is probably the worst dude to talk to in both sports. Lesnar hates talking to people. Straight up. He doesn’t care about fans. He doesn’t care about his coworkers. He doesn’t care about his bosses. He most certainly doesn’t care about the media.

The only thing Lesnar cares about is doing his work, collecting his pay, and heading home.

It shouldn’t really come as a surprise, then, that Brock Lesnar has pushed back a bit about the UFC’s tedious promotional and marketing requirements. Photo shoots, interviews, autograph signings…Lesnar has been forced to interact with lots of people that he’d just as soon murder and he’s not even trying to hide his displeasure about it at this point.

The best example of this comes in the UFC’s video package for the Lesnar vs. Hunt fight where Lesnar looks to his interviewer and lets him know how he feels about all this talking.

“It’s fighting, people. I don’t have to sit here and build this fight.” Very true, but not really what the UFC would like to hear.

Of course, Lesnar’s tight lips haven’t completely stopped some interesting information from coming out. He has expressed interest in fighting again after UFC 200 (though that may or may not hinge on if he wins). There may be some friction between him and the WWE over this fight, as it could jeopardize his availability for SummerSlam in August.

Lesnar can hardly contain his lack of excitement about posing for one of those goofy photo shoots.

Regardless, his job will be done come Saturday at UFC 200, where he will face Mark Hunt in the card’s co-main event fight. If he can win that…he might just have a lot more interviews to grump about.
