UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor has decided to hang up his gloves and retire for MMA.




Conor McGregor known as the ‘The Notorious’ broke onto the MMA scene and made an almost instant impact. Riding to the top of his game within three years the guy was and still in a massive star.
But, as of today, he has chosen to retire young.

Many will wonder if being defeated to veteran Nate Diaz at UFC 196 played a major part in this decision.

Conor was going to fight Rafael dos Anjos but he pulled out with a foot injury. No one stepped in to replace the injured Anjos apart from welterweight Nate Diaz.

Conor was already stepping up in weight from 145 to 155 but needed to make 170 in just under a week.

The effects of making this weight lead to McGregor losing this fight.
