Jake Shields is one of the most under-appreciated fighters in MMA history, and he scored the biggest win of his career at Strikeforce: Nashville by out-grappling Dan Henderson. Nobody remembers that, though. Everybody remembers the brawl that came after the fight.
During Shields’ post-fight interview, Jason Mayhem Miller crashed the cage and demanded a rematch. Shields shoved him away and Nick and Nate Diaz both jumped on him from there. That brawl actually got Strikeforce kicked off CBS and started the promotion on its path to ruin.
