Cody Garbrandt entered the cage last Friday at UFC 207 probally on of the most baited fights for the night. During the UFC 207 Cody faced off with Dominick Cruz for the UFC’s bantamweight belt. Cruz was the favorite, considering that his last defeat was March 24, 2007 at the WEC, when he was submitted by Urijah Faber so that was not much of a surprise.
Garbrandt showed a performance completely superior to the one of Cruz and in fact during the match he did not show any real difficulties. At the end of the night Cody won by unanimous decision and declaring himself the new UFC Roosterweight Champion.
‘No Love’ when he attended the press conference after UFC 207, and gave his opinion on the his fight with Dominick:
Cody Garbrandt: “I was really just curious to see his speed. Everyone believed in what the media said about him, that he is ‘The Matrix’, which (in the cage) is a ghost. It’s very good, I can not deny it, but I was almost shocked to see how slow his movements were and that his angles were not present. ”
Cody has really been doing well in UFC and show that he has lots more to offer. What you think?
