Two years ago, Jesse Shand was at the lowest point in his life.

At 700 pounds, he couldn’t really do much of anything besides typical 700lb person stuff like eating incredible amounts of junk food and trolling people online. He thrived on negativity and getting a rise out of people on the internet because he says that he didn’t really have anything else. It probably gave him a sense of control, because he felt out-of-control in other areas of his life.

“Negativity was all I had and all I was about.” – Jesse Shand

Jesse hit up a bodybuilding forum and started a thread called “Ask the fattest man on this site anything.” He figured that he would get a rise out of people. He figured that all these meatheads would talk shit about him and that he’d get into some flamewars and satisfy the desire for negativity.

He never would have guessed what would happen next…

The community of fitness fanatics that Jesse was trying to troll ended up actually rallying around him and showing incredible amounts of support. Instead of getting into internet arguments, they convinced Jesse that it’s not too late to turn his life around.

So he did.

He got signed up to the gym and his new online pals were helping him shed the weight.

With the help of the community, Jesse was able to drop over 400 pounds and now weighs about 265lbs. From being somebody who couldn’t even leave his house, and definitely couldn’t walk laps around his trailer, he was doing laps in under a month and the progress snowballed from there.

Check out his progress on the next page:
