The Miz vs. Cesaro for the Intercontinental Championship
Plenty of interest here with the Miz finding new ways to be an amazing heel and Cesaro just being generally amazing. This is the other tough-to-pick match on the card and with no rumors about how this will break, it’s anyone’s guess as to whether they will crown Cesaro as the new king of the midcard or whether they’ll have Miz retain with a DQ or count-out and drag this feud out into Extreme Rules.
Baron Corbin vs. Dolph Ziggler
Corbin is getting fast-tracked to a midcard title and rightly so. The Lone Wolf has grown before fans’ eyes in NXT and is easily the most interesting heel on the roster right now. He should beat Dolph and move on to bigger, better things.
Charlotte vs. Natalya for the WWE Women’s Championship
Natty and Charlotte have actually had the best rivalry in women’s wrestling in the west over the last few years, dating back to the post-Paige days of the NXT women’s division. They consistently put on solid matches when they’re paired up and this shouldn’t be an exception. That said…Charlotte’s totally going to win this match. Bret Hart will be in Natty’s corner but there’s no way they have anybody but Sasha Banks take the title off Charlotte.
Roman Reigns vs. AJ Styles for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
The match will be won by Roman Reigns. There is absolutely no question about that. This is still a really good main event simply because of how it will impact the relationship between Styles’ old NJPW buddies Karl Anderson and Luke/Doc Gallows. They’ve been teasing tension between the three, and they’ve also been teasing a heel turn by Styles. Even though there’s no hope of a title change, I’m very interested in how this will go.
